Looks like I have a name to attach to my current (and longest running) obsession -
As reported today by Starwars.com, Episode VII has officially been named "The Force Awakens," and principle filming is reported to have wrapped, as well. Having been filmed over the course of the last four months in locations ranging from Scotland, to Ireland, to Abu Dhabi, details on the film's plot and new characters have been scarce. The rumors that have been floating around have ranged from lame to incredible and original, but only time will tell what the final product will be.
My prediction, for what it's worth, is that this film is getting the love and attention to detail it needs from Director and fellow huge fan, J.J. Abrams, and his Bad Robot Productions. Lucky for us, SW:EVII is slated for release on December 18th, 2015. Just over a year to go!
